The Players Edition SPORT - The return of the Swiss ETA Automatic. The new Players Edition Sport is not just darkly stylish, but a sophisticated timepiece that challenges some of the leading luxury Swiss watch makers which suits its competitive "sporty" nature and one the reasons this collection gained its listing as best watch brand 2022 by the Independent.
At 42mm, the watch is on the larger side, but because of its 9.5mm thin case, it never feels big. And thanks to the case’s brushed stainless-steel construction and elements of black gunmetal PVD coating, it remains true to the watch’s monochrome aesthetic. In fact, the only bit of colour you’ll find are the flashes of red seen on the 12 o'clock marker, second hand and the "S" engraved on the crown. This continues with an exhibition (skeleton) caseback revealing the 25 jewel Swiss made mechanical movement, boasting a 38 hour power reserve, considered to be a “workhorse” movement by many luxury watch enthusiasts.
